Introduction

Hello! My name is Kylena Purvis. I am 22 years old and am currently in my Junior year at the University of Southern Mississippi. My major is Elementary Education. I was not always sure that I wanted to become a teacher until a few years ago. Like many others I bounced back and forth with my major for the first few years of college. My nephews, neice, and friends' children are what inspired me to become a teacher. Now I only have a few semesters left before I finally get to graduate and begin my career as an Elementary teacher.

Technology, especially computers, is something that has always come easy to me. It could possibly be because I have been around computers my whole life. I have taken many different typing and computer classes through out my education. I am not the most efficient at computers, but if I am shown how to do a certain task then I am able to pick up and learn quickly.

Personally, I feel that the use of technology inside of a classroom is very beneficial. Technology allows teachers to enhance lessons by providing visual aides as well as interactive experiences for the students. Not all students learn in the same way so the use of technology provides an opportunity for teachers to reach out to all the different ways of learning.
